The Art Of Changing For The Better “If we can learn to think change will be much easier”

23 Sep

“Each human being has the eternal duty of transforming what is hard and brutal into a subtle and tender offering, what is crude into refinement, what is ugly into beauty, ignorance into knowledge, confrontation into collaboration, thereby rediscovering the child’s dream of a creative reality incessantly renewed by death, the servant of life, and by life the servant of love”. Yehudi Menuhin

We needs to honestly observe our thinking process well as no one can give as what we desire but we can give the very best to ourselves. Individuals can transform their lives through self effort that way government has no option but to do the right thing.

We must take our own destiny into our own hands. We have to re-tool our thinking mind and with that we can help ourselves by mastering the ways we think. For every discomfort, every ill health, every disadvantage, everything we have has been achieve through our thinking  mind. Today humanity has been able to master his/her thinking mind and has been able to improve it’s ways of creativity and able to solve any problem that confront it’s existence. Humanity today has the ability to re-create itself never before in human history.

One big question did our leaders know how we can overcome our limitations that did not border     me much because even if they know and have answers they cannot really help everyone but everyone can help himself/herself. And when we do we will earn self-respect and gain our freedom. Sometimes I think it should come from our leaders but with a second thought it must come from the individual who has to experience happiness for which I believe everyone of us look forward to. That is why we go to school doing everything to achieve success thinking that once we achieve success at school happiness will become ours. The effort should come more from the individual first because with that effort everything will become better for the whole society.

It is also the only path that leads from the lesser to the greater, from the dream to the reality, from the wish to the heart’s desire fulfilled. It is change that brings us everything we want. It is the opposite of change that holds us back from that which we want. But change is not always external. Real change, or rather the cause of all change, is always internal. It is the change in the within that first produces the change in the without. To go from place to place is not a change unless it produces a change of mind a renewal of mind within else all.

Today, I wanted to discuss something of such a great importance to you the reader who has reach this point. Let me ask you do you want to improve your health and be well inform that no one can ever take you for granted? If yes then let me ask again do you really want to understand how we can improve our thinking skills by re-programming it for real and seeing all the lies of the past are clearly as possible at cost effect rate. I will challenge you to never rest to this basic desire of all humanity but few achieve this goal. Other diverts our attention to there ends all because we allows others to think for us and to provide us answers to life questions.

It is the change of mind that is the change desired. It is the renewal of mind that produces better health, more happiness, greater power, the increase of life happiness, and the consequent increase of all that is good in life. And the constant renewal of mind the daily change of mind is possible regardless of times, circumstances or places.

He who can change his mind every day and think the new about everything every day, will always be well; he will always have happiness; he will always be free; his life will always be interesting; he will constantly move forward into the larger, the richer and the better; and whatever is needed for his welfare today, of that he shall surely have abundance.

Something I come to learn the hard way after many years of research is our purpose here as humans. I come to observe that the greatest minds throughout history have devoted their effort in making this world a better place to live inn. I think God wants from us that spirit of looking at life. For it is said that if your purpose is just your personal comfort and pleasures of these world you will be limited in the end and that you even become a burden to yourselves. Does this strike you too hard we need to be honest with our selves else we deceive ourselves. Thos who strive to make the world a better place are given great wisdom why? Do you ever asked or you think they are gifted all this excuses just comfort us to be lazy a nice one indeed.

The challenges that lies ahead is not whether you are educated or not but your ability to think clearly.  Our honesty to challenge your thinking abilities will determine how we in Africa reshape and re-create a better continent not through aids or foreign donors. But by our own fellow African doing what it takes to create and grow genius in every field.  One fact is that our education will not and cannot support the next wave of dramatic changes that lie ahead. We are late actually but we can start somewhere individually. The state cannot support our own happiness but individuals can do so for themselves.

A person gradually but surely grows into the likeness of that which he thinks of the most, and man thinks the most of what he loves the best. This is the law through which man has become what he is, and it is through the intelligent use of this law that man may change for the better and improve in any way desired. The thought you think not only effects your character, your mind and your body, but also produces the original cause of every characteristic, every habit, every tendency, every desire, every mental quality and every physical condition that appears in your system.

Thought is the one original cause of the conditions, characteristics and peculiarities of the human personality, and everything that appears in the personality is the direct or indirect effect of the various actions of thought. It is therefore evident that man naturally grows into the likeness of the thought he thinks, and it is also evident that the nature of his thought would be determined by that which he thinks of the most.

The understanding of these facts will reveal to all minds the basic law of change, and though it is basic, its intelligent use may become simplicity itself. Through the indiscriminate use of this law, man has constantly been changing, sometimes for the better, sometimes not, but by the conscious, intelligent, use of this law he may change only for the better and as rapidly as the sum total of his present ability will permit.

The fact that mental conditions and dispositions may be changed through the power of thought, will readily be accepted by every mind, but that mental qualities, abilities, personal appearances and physical conditions may be changed in the same way all minds may not be ready to accept. Nevertheless, that thought can change anything in the human system, even to a remarkable degree, is now a demonstrated fact.

We have all seen faces change for the worse under the influence of grief, worry and misfortune, and we have observed that all people grow old who expect to do so, regardless of the fact that the body of the octogenarian is not a day older than the body of a little child.

We have unlimited evidence to prove that ability will improve or deteriorate according to the use that is made of the mind. A man’s face reveals his thought, and we can invariably detect the predominating states of the mind that lives in a groove. When a person changes their mental states at frequent intervals, no one state has the opportunity to produce an individual, clear-cut expression, and therefore cannot be so readily detected, but where one predominating state is continued in action for weeks or months or years, anyone can say what that state is, by looking at the face of the one who has it. Thus we can detect different kinds of disposition, different grades of mind, different degrees of character and different modes of living, and convince ourselves at the same time, that man in general, looks, acts and lives the way he thinks.

The fact that every mental state will express its nature in body, mind and character, proves that we can, through the intelligent use of mental action, cause the body to become more beautiful, the mind more brilliant, character more powerful and the souls life more ideal. To accomplish these things, however, it is necessary to apply the law continuously in that direction where we desire to secure results.

When a person thinks of the ordinary for a few weeks, they invariably begin to look ordinary. Then when something impels them to think for a while of the ideal, the true and the beautiful, they begin to look like a new creature; but if reverses threaten, they will feel worried, dejected and afraid, and everybody observes that they look bad. Then if the tide turns in their favor, they will begin to look content, and if something should suggest to their mind the thought of the wholesome, the sound and the harmonious, they will begin to look remarkably well.

In this manner they are daily using the law of change, but never intelligently. They do not take the law into their own hands, but use the law only as suggestions from their environment may direct. They advance one day and fall back the next. One week their physical mansion is painted with colors of health and beauty; the next week only the conditions of age and disease are in evidence. They plant a flower seed today, and tomorrow they hoe it up to plant a weed in its place.

Thus the average person continues to live, and every change comes from the unconscious, indiscriminate use of the power of their thought. This power, however, can be employed more wisely, and when the many begin to do so, the progress of the race will be remarkable indeed.

The basic law of change must be taken into our own hands, and must be employed directly for producing the change we have in view; and to accomplish this the love nature must be so trained that we shall love only what we want to love, only what is greater and better than that which we have realized up to the present time.

In this respect strong, highly developed souls will have no difficulty, because they have the power to see the great, the beautiful and the ideal in all things, but those who have not as yet acquired that power, must train their feelings with care, lest love frequently turns thought upon the low, the common or the ordinary.

What you admire in others will develop in yourself. Therefore, to love the ordinary in anyone is to become ordinary, while to love the noble and the lofty in all minds is to grow into the likeness of that which is noble and lofty. When we love someone who is in the earth earthly, we tend to keep ourselves down in the same place.

Finally, a hint to you is  that the inventive mind is free and clear but above all it must be honest before it can gain freedom to achieve and greatest  deeds. Should I say that humanity will wage an honest revolution or not, the future will speak loudly to each one of us. Dr Kwame Nkrumah has talk about this brilliancy brain that to me sound great and this again should be talk of by every educated mind.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President’s   statue has been unveiled at the forecourt of the new African Union (AU) building in far away Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The occasion should inspire us at every level of duty it should become a wake-up call to duty to the African people but more especially we in Ghana owes it a duty to do more than expected of us. Thank you.

SELF-MAINTAINANCE IS THE SMALLEST DUTY OF THE HUMAN SPECIES!

6 Apr

Although it might seem like a proposition in philosophy. It is really the warning cry of this article.

The bearing and its understanding can always be found in nature. However, we have many challenging and where the solutions can be found in us.

What is the chief function of all these powers given to the body? Better still what are the uses of our human potential or God-given potential we often talk about. We are tempted to reply that their only purpose is to sustain the life of the individual. For what is that life given? To keep the organs active, the heart beating, the lungs breathing, the digestion tract in operation, to supply thought and feeling, purpose and execution, but for what end? These questions need thoughtful observation of nature and our society we live today. The world has many challenges and mankind has to be able to solve many others.

However, many of the achievements’ of the centuries rest on the shoulders of our prime movers. They left their thoughts which reflect their deepest tools that enable them to move civilization   to where we find ourselves today.

Somehow we have not done enough for ourselves and it seems their quotes have not been well understood. If well understood and appreciated we would have done better. I have seen one of such quote that can actually revolutionize our educational system here in Ghana. And can be exported to other African countries to such an extent that we can catch up with the advanced countries for I think our founder has in mind much deeper wish for us. All rest much on our developing our human potential to the fullest at all level.

Many great men of the past have given insight to their people and when to use to the fullest we today can see their achievements whilst we have not done well with the same insight when we honestly take a thoughtful look at what our first President and founder of our nation Dr. Kwame Nkrumah when he said: Indeed, education consist not only in the sum of what a man knows or the skill which he can put this to his own advantage. A man’s education must be measured in terms of the soundness of his judgment of people and things and in his power to understand and appreciates the needs of his fellow men and to be of service to them. The educated man should be so sensitive to the conditions around him that he makes it his chief endeavor to improve those conditions for the good of all.”

This should give us concern for not looking at issues and to find out what are the origins to some of the challenging we face as a developing country. What comes to mind is issues of corruption as a whole in tracing its origin we can find that it’s come from a value system that we come to cherish yet it so destructive to our individual wellbeing and is leading us to institutional failure. Let us take a little step back to observe thoughtfully some facts.

When a man dies what has he accomplished if his life has been successful? He has clothed his body, but what for? So that it may be protected from the storms and cold, in order merely to exist and have the ability to get more clothing for the same circuitous purpose. He has fed the body, but what for? So that it may get the strength to keep up the battle of life and thus secure more food for the same end. He has sheltered the body in a home. He has earned pleasures to give variety to his mind.

He may have attained contentment and satisfaction. He may have provided for his family, but he cannot give them more than these things which I have enumerated. When he has done all that he could have hoped to do, there comes the realization that he has not done much.

A machine that cannot do more than to keep itself going is no value whatsoever. So the best life is empty unless it can pass beyond the line of self-support and self-satisfaction.

In fact, this insight gives a lot of clue to the statement made by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, but before you read finish this article with further reflection it will give us many thoughts.

Further, to that, the same faculties that serve to sustain the body’s needs; are given double and triple uses. No doubt the sense of smell in it animal realm gives knowledge of fitness of foods to be eaten; we catch the odor of tainted meat, sour milk and numberless things ere they are received into the mouth, for the nose stands sentinel just over the lips. No doubt the sense of sight is designed to espy the presence of food and materials needed for the body just as the sense of hearing is employed to lead us into the presence of life, of running water, of animate nature where the supplies of the body are to be found.

But these are material uses only. The nose scents the delighted fragrance of flowers; things that do not grow to please the stomach or to sustain life. The eye most grandeur of all witnesses the beauties of color and form, in flower, sky, human face and rich art. The ear is the avenue of exquisite music, sweet voices, tender tones, love, and melody. Thus, we see that we have other uses for these senses.

What is true of one faculty is true of another. The power of the human body serves the purposes of the life of the flesh; but it has been proved and is now being proved every day that there are higher and grander uses for it. No person has a right to live for the mere renewal of the daily needs of the flesh.

The vast majority of humanity will do no better or will fall far short of even this accomplishment and it is a sad reflection that they cannot keep the machine in order that has no ambition to do more than ruin itself. They cannot perform the smallest duties assigned to the human species.

This gives the fuller nature of our being, the grander nature of our values.

If our goals and purpose are to align with nature’s purpose for us we will achieve happiness the reason we are here for. Our true lives to serve God will be achieved and God will judge.

Our deeds, not words, not what we might believe. For HE has built or created us in HIS very form and uniqueness. What else can HE expect from us, to glorify HIM? Thank you for reading this far.

In conclusion, the setting of this human purpose that I think should be integrated into our educational system. It is an irony that a system trains you to be a job seeker only to be told at some point to create your own job it is a very different mindset that creates values for others. To achieve the latter involve some thinking abilities that can be taught as a subject.

Thinking can be learned for better observation and learning in life and if our human purpose is to be useful then it demand the greatest improvement for it to serve self and making the world a better place. The starting point is to re-invent ourselves and make us a better human being to know our own values. A clean mind is a free mind above all to be truly honest here we will know what it truly means to be human.

“The thinking that guides our knowledge is much more important than the knowledge we might possess”.  Hence the need to re-wire our brain cells through lateral thinking as  it can be taught like any other subject we have study at school.  Beyond critical thinking provides a  special training for a better thinking  in better thoughtful ways.  There is a better ways to address many issues we face in Ghana through actually educating our most valuable senses. Take for instance how we dispose of plastic waste?  Let’s see the sense of sight at work.  Beyond critical thinking can help us solve the many problems we face this training is available to anyone who is determining to study it upon request to:  metaconsult@outlook.com. Ghana Must Learn to Think! To raise Intellectual Capital

15 Sep
Former President of Ghana JJ Rawlings

Former President of Ghana JJ Rawlings

“If a people’s collective thinking is not accomplishing their cherished dreams, repetition of the same kind of thinking will only reproduce more of the same non-accomplishment. What is needed is a change in thinking,”

The SCHOOL OF THINKING (SOT) is a program specifically designed to Introduce, Develop and Perfect the thinking skills and capacities of individuals, corporate executives and employees and the nation as a whole so that individually and collectively we can produce better answers to nagging questions and better innovative solutions to difficult problems.

This way, productivity can be radically improved, and we can progress from non-accomplishment to accomplishment and from accomplishment to greater accomplishment.

Self confidence, Self reliance, greater motivation and a surge in enthusiasm flow naturally from better thinking abilities and consequently better achievement. The impact on productivity can be revolutionary.

Yes, we can actually learn to improve the way we do everything around us many developed and developing countries are doing so today. The only way forward is to learn thinking as a subject within a whole society. Dr Michael Hewitt-Gleeson – a world renowned expert and coach in Leadership, Thinking, Innovation and Selling, Co-founder and Principal of the School of Thinking who also invented ‘Software for the your Brain’. It takes personal determination to gain anything of great value in anything of value.

One of our own scientists Philip Emeagwali of Nigeria said that ‘Intellectual Capital, not higher wages will eliminate poverty in Africa. If we all demand higher wages, we will end up paying the wages to ourselves. ‘Intellectual capital will result in the creation of new products derived from new technologies”.
Harmonizing all knowledge’s in any nation gives it an added advantage of raising its intellectual capital. The intellectual capital needed to produce products and services will lead to the path of poverty alleviation. Intellectual capital defined as the collective knowledge of the people increase productivity. The latter by driving economic growth alleviates poverty, always and everywhere, even in Ghana and Africa. Productivity is the engine that drives global economic growth.

There is abundant of evidences why we as a nation needs to adopt more proactive measures that will embraced a whole society. Today, we need something that can refine our thinking to bring the very best in us.

In the beginning of the year the President’s salary was increased together with the MP’s and Ministers. What did our leaders thought off all these more talks is going on and yet no serious approach is going on to harmonized our productive efforts collectively but the our leaders are doing their best to comfort themselves at the expenses of the future of the country by just increasing their own salaries.

Mr. President everything you may plan to do and achieve will come to zero if serious look are not observe with regards to all this facts on the ground. You need a great dose of courage and energy from your brain to move the nation forward it is not higher wages. Intellectual Capital will do. This is actually thinking out side the box you talk about early this year. We do have individuals who lack classroom education but they most of the time throughout history have created abundance of opportunities for others.

We need brain-power to move our nation together not appeals that is not working. Why? With the focus on intellectual capital development all our energies is on ability, innovation, leadership, thinking, observation and finally productivity will increase. Not on increasing fuel prices, increase utilities services like water, electricity and taxes. Lately we have withdrawals of Research Allowance for government Universities Professors and teacher trainee allowance etc.

These days they are even registering us in other to widen the tax net to see how much more they can make of the people with the excuse that many don’t pay taxes. But they pay indirect taxes whenever the increases just fuel prices and use the currency.

Intellectual capital is the key the only unique method, its cost effective. We can reduce cost of education, health, utilities bills etc. And the people will feel it and will be encourage to be more productive in the long run.

Those who advice us to increase cost of these services don’t want us to think and help ourselves.

Mr. President I did not intend to embarrass you but thought otherwise to be very frank. I believe our elders may have the solution to issues they seems to be addressing the peace.

Secondly, if my fairness to our elders has a greater sense of wisdom for an evolving system that is based on honesty which they have for sometime display in their pronouncements for some time now, then I stand to salute these statesmen.

Lately, the President of the Supreme Court Mr. Justice William Atuguba trialing the election petition. His Lordship’s comments gives so much food for thought and show the way forward if we are to take others into consideration and these shows how determine our elder steer us away from danger and even beyond. Least I forget the council of state also made a remark to the president recently in which they ask the president to be bold and courageous. The one who signed our current 4th republican constitution into law former President J.J. Rawlings came with “Power to the People” and to be honest it is the basis of our current democratic dispensations.

We can easily educate the current and next generation without extra classes and holiday classes and even reduces time spend in school to such a way that it may even look as if it is free.

If we only focus in giving a better way to educate a human being. We should involve parents to be active in educating there kids by so doing we get a whole society involve then only then can we have that courage to move forward. It should not be teacher’s job the cost will go down and less work for the teachers but a good pay in a growing economy with less cost of living down in the solution not increase this and that. A stream cannot rise above it source.

But the president needs a very great national security that knows what it means to be honest and duty to humanity and a sense of value not base on money but what it really mean to be human I mean selfless. But no one can be selfless if we always increase and raise cost of living.

But forgetting that just a few enjoy greater privileges like free fuel, free water at home , free electricity, free phone calls, free toll gates even coffee at the office are all free and even baby’s diapers. We should look at what at what the leaders enjoy free and look also at what the business people pay in taxes because they do not have any free things. We need honest with the realities not cover-up facts. Last point of view, can there ever is a better value system that will come about that focus on our own human abilities than relying solely on foreign aid as a policy. What we face today is system failure and the corruption that is destroying our country.

The future revolution is embedded in the power to the people. An individual need not less than 5 to 10years consistent search, study and real time observation to hue out the knowledge necessarily for a man to create value and be productive. The future revolution will be Honesty Revolution for I think humanity has pass the information revolution a decades ago and even at the middle of the knowledge revolution already. For nature abhors the weakly.
Entrepreneurs have been strong pillars for human civilization they will do so if there is enough freer society. You will see our scientist brazing up to create value for society. Not increase in petrol price, water, electricity, not increase and widen the tax net economist, with just some excuses that many people don’t pay taxes that are true fact any way they will contribute in many ways than the taxes..

What government seems to be promoting business as if they are doing the business people a favor whilst making it difficult for individuals to create businesses. Taxes are high cost of utilities services are high, cost of doing business is very expensive that it cost cheaper to even import foreign goods that can create jobs here than to produce them here. Where is the honesty, the policy to screw the people?

Let save our world by consciously by learning how to think. I am standing by to help you travel on an incredible journey of personal evolution to re-create your self. I made mine digital in the process! It’s a small group of individuals who want to evolve their thinking to become thinkers. It’s quite an amazing experience for you to use both sides of your brain and bypass mind control that prevents us from being free. Extend your love and views. Thank you.

The Science of Thinking and Action “No-one is ever born a skilled thinker!”

26 Mar

Dr. Michael Hewitt-Gleeson“The way to success lies in doing more than your job calls for.” – F. W. Nichol

‘Unless science is used for the betterment of mankind, I am at a loss to understand the reason for it all. It does not require a clever brain to destroy life. In fact any fool can do that.  But it takes brains- and extraordinarily brilliant brains- to create conditions for human happiness and to make life worth living’ Dr. Kwame Nkrumah

To introduce the ability to learn to improve thinking not through formal methodologies approach to the intellects but equipping the brain neuron system capable soft-wares that changes the dynamics of the whole thinking process.

It will awaken its sleepy, sluggish nature to that of quick observations, keen finding solutions capabilities to read dangers before it comes. Point out practical users to every skill thinker you become smarter. It helps you to observe you kids and help them to become better than ourselves the parents. I understand that the responsibility to bring-up children to the best we can is what God will judge us for at the end of our lives.

We will overcome the style of thinking that we must always increase cost of utilities services, fuels in other to developed. We will become innovative and we will show our people better uses of resources, reduces cost of education and cost of health care through better self care approaches in running health services across board just by encouraging the public interest to self-care  because the public will learn through clear thinking methodology. People’s thinking will create better awareness of self and the right and respect of others that will reduces accidents on our roads.

If public officials acquire better thinking skills that further develop personal power the need for corruptions will be minimal with time. It is the uses to what corrupt money is use that is so interesting. If our young ones are equip with personal power at tender age what could influence them with corrupt money? So it has long term consequences too.

Ghana is so fortunate that we have a great soul like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who is a great  thinker in his own right and the greatest thinker for Africa in the last century.

This should boast and inspire every effort of every individual at all level and age but we wanted to pull him down or aside but for more than fifty years we are not able to move forward. Today we have more educated people than at independence which means that we should have develop faster but not at all.

This writer thinks that there is a solution to all issue hence his passionate appeal to the elites, everyone  young and old  I  mean every person  should get the learning to  think into our schools, into our homes, on our television, on radio into our newspapers  as a matter of urgency. For it is the only way we as humans can move forward as the develop countries are doing today it is childish to think that aids donor partnership WILL not in 100 years.

After a lifetime spent in search of what constitutes greatness in a man, and for words which will inclusively define that which we call “greatness,” I have finally concluded that the following is a perfect definition: Man’s power lies in his ability to demonstrate a principle.

Upon the structure of the above definition, this is written to probe as deeply as possible into what makes one man superior or inferior to another. The author believes that one may multiply himself at will by multiplying his power of thinking.

One cannot multiply one’s power without a greater knowledge of what constitutes power. Let us question this in order that we may multiply ourselves without limit.

Fear and Change

Fear of thought and fear of change are the two great anchors which hold civilization back, and hold the individual back. Civilization is about to undergo the greatest change in two thousand years. Men fear it. Maeterlinck says: “At every crossroad on the way that leads to the future, each progressive spirit is opposed by a thousand men appointed to guard the past.”

This imminent change is due to the rapidly evolving greater race of THINKERS which began to people the world about one hundred years ago in preparation for this day. Bertrand Russell says: “Men fear THOUGHT, as they fear nothing else on earth.” Civilization is once more about to re-divide and subdivide itself into THINKERS who lead and non-thinker followers.

Periodically civilization thus divides its progeny into the favored and the un-favored, and each person is himself the determining factor in his own classification. This pending re-division and re-classification of the world’s great thinkers and followers is the most stupendous which has ever taken place in the history of man.

The THINKER has always ruled, possessed, owned, commanded and become exalted above the followers, who has always been exploited as the laborer, impoverished, enslaved and oppressed. Gradually, however, the narrowing social and economic gap between the two has lessened the misery of the laborer, but the division between thinker and follower remains.

Why? Because the coming new cultural age of greater luxury and higher standards of living than the world has ever known before will demand a greater percentage of thinkers and a lesser percentage of followers.

Man’s knowledge is like a deep well of still water. His thinking is like a two-way pump which divides the quality of that stillness into quantities of parts and sets them flowing. That is what the physical universe is: quantities of many seemingly separated moving things extended from the one quality of unity in God-and each one is forever seeking to find that unity.

Knowledge is the foundation of man’s concepts. Thinking transfers his concepts into product. The quality of his product depends upon the quality of knowledge and not upon the quality or quantity of his thinking. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well, nor can clear water be drawn from a muddied well. Likewise good product cannot come from thinking without knowledge or understanding to back that thinking.

Knowledge cannot be acquired from without. It is acquired from within through recollection, recognition, intuition, or inspiration, which is the language of the spirit. Knowledge should not be confused with information. Information belongs to effect, and knowledge to cause. Just as food in the grocery store is not nourishment until its essentials are converted to the blood stream, likewise information is not knowledge until its essentials, which are cause in it, are recognized by the spirit as eternal truth. The final stages of the Knowledge Revolution we have by-passed the information age long ago, our next stage will be Honesty Revolution while humanity WILL express what it means to be human. Thank you and let me hear from you.

“When   there is an absolute need to know something, when an intellectual void must be filled, we will accept what only moment earlier we’d rejected for centuries” Nancy Friday.

Developing an innovation culture in Ghana is the greatest strategic hope for our productive future in this economic region. The biggest obstacle we face in doing this is the cultural lack of value we place on ‘thinking’ and ‘innovation’ compared to the value we place on being ’right’ and defending our point of view.

Since the church designed our European education system in the Middle Ages, the traditional focus of education has been on teaching children what to think. In the increasingly competitive global business theater. World-class corporations are realizing that the cleverness of their employees their brain power is the ultimate corporate asset. There is a new trend towards developing, managing and measuring the “Intellectual capital” of the corporate enterprise.

If a child goes to school for ten years and never has a thinking lesson, that child can be forgiven for getting the impression that thinking is not important as knowing things. They feel that being ‘right’ and defending one’s viewpoint is more important than escaping from one’s viewpoint to find an even better one the cognitive process we call innovation.

On the other hand if a child receives regular deliberate training in thinking skills, if ‘thinking’ has a place on curriculum, then that child sees a value being placed on ‘thinking’ and has shown it values thinking and has positioned itself as having an ‘innovation culture’.

The main point about this article is thinking, can we learn it and re-create ourselves? BIG YES! because every decision and action we take, as human being will have to pass through a process known as thinking. If so it is important to find out whether it’s the cause of our problems and whether it’s the same perspective that we need in order to solve our problems here in Africa.

However, if we really want to move ahead, we actually need to help ourselves and how do we do just that is the subject of this article. We need to look at many factors but our main concern here is to look critically at our way or mode of thinking style we adopt.

Unfortunately, thinking is not taught as a subject in our schools right up to the Universities even though thinking is the most important part of knowledge. It is therefore important to have a second look at it dispassionately with an active mind let us take a look at how we seek power outside ourselves and inside ourselves and the outcome of the two modes of thought.

One is that we rely on too much on outsiders to help us develop our country for us and the other is when we over rely on God to solve every conceivable problem we face. Or are we trapped? All these are referred to as external authorities for solutions. The question is does these two approaches helped us over the past years? If not then we have to re-examine our thinking mode, we have to be honest to look at everything about else dispassionately. We are where we are today because of our thinking styles or software.

One thing that strikes me over and over is a statement by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah made some years ago after independence on both education and science. He said,”Indeed, education consists not only in the sum of what a man knows or the skill with which he can put this to his own advantage. A man’s education must be measured in terms of the soundness of his judgment of people and things and his power to understand and appreciate the needs of his fellow men, and to be of service to them. The educated man should be so sensitive to the conditions around him that he makes it his chief endeavor to improve those conditions for the good of all”. Here, his thoughts on education is a far reaching on beyond critical thinking we might say, by linking it to the ability to be a creator of value to others thereby improving their lives is very clear thought which definitely comes to thinking, decision making and action we make each waking moment.

The second quote on science he says; “Unless science is used for the betterment of mankind, I am at a loss to understand the reason for it all. It does not require a clever brain to destroy life. In fact any fool can do that. But it takes brains and extraordinarily brilliant brains to create conditions for human happiness and to make life worth living”.

What attracted me to this statement is the point that it takes brains, and extraordinarily brilliant brains to create conditions for human happiness and to make life worth living. From these points I begin to think that the solutions to Africa’s problems and for that matter Ghana will certainly comes from within African’s themselves, that is from our very best creative minds. I have address this issue in a special report entitle What When Wrong. We need a liberated mind to face the reality with a lot of courage so we can free ourselves. Only African can develop Africa. That creative ability is in every one of us above all it can be learnt like any subject. We have to turn within ourselves by using our mind power.

Let us look at some common social and economic issues for example; hawkers on our streets rampant increase of utility services like water, electricity and petrol being control by the state. How many times did the state use force to move hawkers from the street does it worked? How many times did the regulators increase the rates of these services and how many times did they not increase the cost of petrol etc in Ghana? We hear all manner of excuses they use to justify every rise in these services but the actual fact is it’s just a clear case of mediocre or a naked exploitation of our very people by the elites who are making decisions on this and that issue.

With the current achievement of mankind we in Africa and other parts of the developing world can overcome all major problems we face within a short period of say ten to twenty years but with the current trends even hundred years we can still be lagging behind. If ever there will ever be any paradigm shift some day it will comes from us individually thus personal responsibility.

The critical shift required guaranteeing a healthy world for our children and our children’s children will not be achieved by doing more of the same. The world we have created is a product of our way of thinking. Nothing will ever change in the future without fundamentally new ways of thinking.

Ultimately, leadership is about creating new realities. Personal self leadership is the ideal where you think for yourself here you find lateral thinking more useful for transforming ones attitudes, learning, problem solving, goal setting, creativity, relationships, and how to develop success skills, integrity and wisdom. Above all if your purpose as a human being is to make  this world a better place regardless of your own personal comfort and pleasure you are given greater knowledge to achieve that purpose, this   will be  elaborated later in my future articles.

Honesty needs no support save the evidence of reality, while dishonesty begets myriad distortions of reality in order to sustain its frail existence. The voice of honesty is confident, firm, yet quiet. The voice of dishonesty is uncertain, flimsy, but loud. The loud voice of dishonesty seems to have prevailed throughout history by the sheer force of its volume, yet it is the voice of honesty that has permeated the world and carried humanity always forward.

“To save the world is the simplest thing in the world. All one has to do is to think” this was said by Dr. Leonard Peikoff a renowned thinker and philosopher of the 21st century. I hope we can learn from this simple statement.  What we in Africa needs badly is our ability to think clearly about our issues and address them consciously, to be objective and rational as well.

Knowledge is power. Integration of knowledge is power. It is through knowledge that one can control the destiny of his life, his environment, and his universe. It is through knowledge that one can achieve his true individuality, an indivisible conscious wholeness, and the self that is genuinely his. It is through knowledge, and through knowledge alone, that the flowering and ultimate fulfillment of what it means to be human, what it means to be conscious, can come to exist.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM MY FRIEND

1 Jan

Hi Erik,

I wanted to take a moment to say Happy New Year to you and yours…
Are ready for a great New Year?

To help you get off to a running start I would like you to consider changing your perception of WHAT SUCCESS MEANS TO YOU!

As I mature and have a better understanding of how things work, I have come to understand that HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS will determine our happiness, or lack of it.

We tend MEASURE SUCCESS in relation to achieving our goals.  In other words, we set a goal and if we achieve it, we are happy and satisfied.  If we don’t, we feel like a failure.  This creates anxiety, fear and sometimes even depression.

You will never be happy or satisfied if you keep focusing on what you DON’T HAVE, or what you have NOT ACHIEVED.

Instead, consider this;  The way to MEASURE SUCCESS, and still be happy and satisfied, is to look at WHERE YOU HAVE COME FROM.

In other words, LOOK BACK and notice how you have IMPROVED in any area of your life – even if it is a VERY SMALL improvement.

If you LOOK BACK and celebrate your INCREMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS, the next steps become so much easier, because you are happy and satisfied right now.

So, if you did not achieve everything you wanted in 2011, when you finish reading this take a look at the INCREMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS you have made and give yourself a pat on the back. Make a short list and then give yourself some credit instead of focusing on what went wrong or did not happen.  Seriously. I mean it.  MAKE THAT LIST. I’m watching you!

Start the New Year with the feeling that you have already started to make some incremental improvements in 2011, and you are ready for more.  NEVER, I repeat NEVER, judge yourself.  Other people will be happy to do that for you. Give yourself credit for what you have accomplished – no matter how small those accomplishments may seem.

This will get you off to great start in 2012 because you will START OFF with a sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT instead of a sense of failure – which is never useful.  If you build on your incremental accomplishments you can do EVEN BETTER in 2012.

Before I sign off I want to point out the quote below my name.  It says…

“Any dream that can pass through one’s screen of logic into the Subconscious
and is earnestly desired, can be obtained”.
– Dr. Robert Anthony

This is so true, and I want to keep pointing it out.

Once you give up all the “logical reasons” why something cannot work for you and allow your new dream or goal to enter your Subconscious,  it’s an idea whose time has come.  If you truly desire it and your Subconscious agrees to it – it’s yours!

Cheers for a great New Year,

Dr. Robert Anthony

“Any dream that can pass through one’s screen of logic into the subconscious
and is earnestly desired, can be obtained”.
– Dr. Robert Anthony

PS. I share  similar views with Dr. Robert Anthony. Thank you.Erik

The Challenge before Us

7 Dec

Thinker

The Challenge before Us
By Erik K. Dzordzordzi Esq.

‘God introduces His will into nature for the purpose of revealing His power in light and majesty to constitute a kingdom of joy’. — Jacob Boehme.

THE will is like a lever that lifts in any direction desired. Yet it may also be the power that decides that direction. It is the factor in human experience which makes or mars character, and fulfills or defeats every promise of Nature.

Unguided, except by the caprice of the senses, it may be the unworthy helmsman that steers the ship directly onto the rocks; but exalted, trained, and consecrated, it may lead into the harbor of peace and safety.

Man is as he thinks he is, and what he does is the result of the sum total of his thought. The average person, however, thinks at random and therefore lives at random and does not know from day to day whether good or evil lies in his path. What he finds in his path is invariably the result of his own thinking, but as he does not know what results different kinds of thought produce he creates both good and evil daily not knowing that he necessarily does either of these. When he knows what each mental state will produce, however, and has gained the power to think as he likes under all sorts of circumstances, then he will have fate, destiny, environment, physical conditions, mental conditions, attainments, achievements and in fact everything in his own hands.

After twenty solid years of the coming into being the internet we in Africa and Ghana in particular ought to be asking serious questions. But any serious observer will predict that the dynamics of 21st century change that will gulf the world will be forced on Africa and Ghana will not be exception at all.

This writer comes to this conclusion based on certain facts not theories. I am a self educated individual for two decades I have been a student of life at the University of Hard Knock and I have learn many great facts including the art and science of thinking as humans. And I have recently comes to think that we can joined the global community on equal terms and be well respected if we can all learn how to think whether educated or not. It will cause a great movement across the country and even across the continent of Africa.

For some time now we have been celebrating the 100 yea rs of the birth of the man Dr. Kwame Nkrumah he is a Prime Mover and in Ghana what we have heard again and again over the past fifty-three years might be something.

I wanted to be frank with all people who believe in the dream and works of OSAGYEFO Dr. Kwame NKRUMAH that we have not done anything yet and we should bury our heads in the ocean sand and forget it. We seem to be joking all this years. However, history has spoken of many great dreams that never get finish with its founders but let us not comfort ourselves.

One thing that always comes to mind is that only a major paradigm shift that can turn our greatness out from inside us. KWAME NKRUMAH once said, “I have sow the seed it will germinate”

That is a true statement. Ghana is so bless that we are celebrating the 100 years of the birth of a Prime Mover Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah when we have a government that have taken a stand to restored the greatness of OSAGYEFO KWAME NKRUMAH for good. This is also a good time to see and do great things.

But what will be the greatest restoration of his life and time and his works and his dreams for Ghana for all Africans is what this article is here to deliberate on. I wanted to be very fair to the very Great man that at six I heard about his overthrown and at seventeen I begin to study his works and at twenty-eight I saw that terrible mistake that our people make, the greatest mistake ever. Now the past two decades was spent to find solid solutions with facts not theories.

As a graduate of the School of Thinking and currently one of the Senior Instructors of thinking worldwide I wanted to offer a very humble suggestion that we in Ghana should ceased this historic opportunity whilst celebrating the life and times of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah we should be a little smart to join the world community by introducing this subject. One big advantage this study will bring to us is that we shall not be begging for foreign money for our development agenda again and that they will see us to be serious and give us better and serious assistance. The quotation below will also bring the reader closer to the facts why we are where we are today. It is because of the mindset we have and not until we make a deliberate effort we shall not make much progress in the twenty-first century and if even we will move it will be force on us that will not make us a proud people. No follower is ever genuinely happy and free.

“Thinking is the hardest and most exhausting of all labor; and hence many people shrink from it. God has so formed us that we are continuously impelled to thought; we must either think or engage in some activity to escape thought. The headlong, continuous chase for pleasure in which most people spend all their leisure time is only an effort to escape thought. If they are alone, or if they have nothing amusing to take their attention, as a novel to read or a show to see, they must think; and to escape from thinking they resort to novels, shows, and all the endless devices of the purveyors of amusement. Most people spend the greater part of their leisure time running away from thought, hence they are where they are. We never move forward until we begin to think.”Wallace D. Wattles
Let There be Light – Behold the Internet!

Up to this point, the discussion has been about the power of the individual. Expand that truism to read as follows: The true power of the individual in his ability to bind himself or herself others to him in his endeavors. This is the ultimate opportunity that the internet brings to the table and it’s captured here for free.

History teaches us; that in every great change or advance there is a marking of a major event, where it all began. You can be a part of that legacy and be a part of the SINGLE MOST POWERFUL event in modern times. This, my friends readers is what the internet was made public for. THEY WOULD BE SORRY, FOR THEY NEVER KNEW WHAT THEY REALLY CREATED!!! It may yet prove to be the greatest event of all time. There is no doubt that the internet has and will continue to foster profound changes in our lives. The entire landscape of our planet’s culture has been altered. It is the key to future betterment and true entitlement! Yet, we have barely turned the key in the lock, much less open the door.

To mock others is to chaff at God. Few are those who respect the powers with which they are endowed; great is the reward of such respect.

Now I will make some few observation about our own Prime Mover Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah And My Reasons Why All Hands And All Minds Must Get Involve No Matter How Little Efforts We Make To That Realization Of His Dreams We Might Even Save Our Own Lives As Well.

If you look to the operations of nature in her countless penalties of the past, you will learn that she sought only the same end in a physical sense the changing of wrong to right. If you look to the great leaders of the world whose lives have been devoted to the saving of humanity from the wrongs that has oppressed them, you will find the same truth living in their acts and devotion. One great illustration of a great leader, who gave his live in order that a wrong might be changed right, is found in the story of Abraham Lincoln who was called the Great Emancipator. But he is not alone here in Africa and Ghana we have the greatest thinker that Africa has produced in the twentieth century Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. All history teems with others names, both of men and of women, who have led millions out of bondage of wrong. In fact only really bright names on the pages of history are those of noble women , and noble men who have been leaders of humanity, with no other object in view that the ending of great wrongs by the inauguration of right. Listen such men and such women live forever.

That you cannot perform this work except as aids to the power that rules all life, above the earth and on the earth, unless you are partners with that power, doing its bidding, and taking its place in the achievement of the ends that are sought; the substituting of right for wrong.

That every man, every woman high or low, humble or great, educated and uneducated may become a leader of some part of humanity in this crusade for a new era of existence on earth. It has been claimed that all the great men and women who has been leaders in the past were inspired to undertake their work. Of course they were. That is just the claim that we are seeking to prove. But inspiration consists of only in the laying aside of the lack of interest, the overcoming of the spirit of indifference in the usual belief that someone else will do this work. But when someone else does the work, it helps you in no way. The whole world might be rescued from the wrong by others and if you took no part in the work, you would still be useless to yourself and to existence.

We must all do some part; you must lay aside your lack of interest; you must overcome your spirit of indifference; you must discard your belief that someone else will carry on the work; then will you join in the latter day. On this notes and thoughts that the solution lay on every individual must be involve in this great historic event about to occur. Truly we over here are not only sleeping but we seem to be helpless and the earlier we awake the better. It calls for the greatest leadership haunt for our very survival to this it does brings better human skills if only the current leadership focus can be changed.

In our heads, every human being has an ability to think, however, at birth we are not give this skills we come to acquire it here on the earth at this place. Throughout our childhood we learn from our parents and friend and the people around us. Then we go to school, we learn certain things from our teachers and friends again. Again as adults we continue to learn throughout our adult’s life to the grave. Until we die the story did not end there.

Hence it must be our outmost personal responsibility that we are not ever deceived here on earth on how we live of lives here. Whether we are healthy, whether we are happy and whether we have to live in peace we have a personal responsibility to ourselves.

My adventure in the school of hard knock lead not to even study the art and science of thinking it has been a journey with many great learning experiences. If we can learn how we think and how to think more rationally the better and faster will it help us all?

“Pride is mental joy over some worthy deed. Nobility is breadth of mind and generosity of act. Eloquence is inspired enthusiasm. Patriotism is love of country. Sacrifice is not merely the willingness, but the act, displayed on behalf of a great cause or good cause. Solemnity is the recognition of an ever present divinity. Dignity is mental gravity. Triumph is the victory over evil. Grandeur is the splendor of a great mind. Sublimity is the association of the mind with divinity.” I love these words if it can only be written on the marble of heaven I think man every living being should write on the surface of his/her mind. They stand out boldly and you can’t ask me who said so, if you ask I will say you do not reverence life.

Obviously, the world has changed enormously over fifty years. The information revolution has transformed the way people think, work, communicate, and invest their money. The sexual revolution of the 1960s has changed the way we do other things, and it broadened into a wider movement of personal growth, self-help, and self-actualization. The pursuit of individual happiness has weakened the hold of the old lifestyle conventions. Racial and ethnic prejudice is much less common today—and so is the sense of personal honor and responsibility.

The Soviet empire has collapsed, bringing to an end a vast and grisly experiment with collectivism. Few would now deny the economic virtues of a market system. And a market-liberal movement, aiming to restore a pure capitalist system based on limited government and individual rights, has sprung up over the last fifty years and become a significant political force.

When we understand the laws of thought and think accordingly, we have begun what may properly be termed scientific thinking; that is, we have begun designed thinking; thinking with a purpose in view; thinking in accordance with exact scientific system; and thinking for results. When we think in this manner we think according to those laws of thought that are required in order to produce the results we have in view; therefore all the forces of mind will be directed to produce those very results. In this connection we should remember that every mental process produces its own results in the human system; therefore we can secure any result desired when we place in action the necessary mental process.

You never think scientifically unless you think for a purpose; it is therefore purposeless thinking that you must avoid. And all purposeless thinking is wrong.

Every process of thought that works at random is wrong because it leads to waste, destruction and retarded growth. For this reason all thoughts that we may create at any time that have no special purpose in view are wrong thoughts and are detrimental to the welfare of the individual. But here we must remember that wrong thought is not simply thought that has base motives; it is also thought that has no motives.

A right thought always has a definite motive with some higher goal in view. In fact, to be right a thought must have a motive and that motive must be constructive; that is, it must aim to build, and to build for something worthwhile. Wrong thought, however, is scattering and destructive and retards growth. This is the real difference between thought that is wrong and thought that is right.

The challenged we face today is a great one it is even painful that we don’t even know and above all we do not even want to listen to any other alternatives approaches. In education we can in fact reduces the time and cost of education by at least 55% and in doing so can we imagine what we can use the un-use resources for? If people can think clearly how to solve basic problem they are going to be more healthy and productive just two advantages for now. As to how it will cure us on corruption and other vices later we can talk on that. Today no one can claim that we do not have a problem far from that, however, I think the most critical need today for us to forge ahead have to be how we ourselves can help ourselves no foreign money or how much donors give us. When we do take the right action the donors will give us serious and the will give us anything we wants.

Today the environment of science and technology is no more open and very fast track. Inventions is no more a secret issues but rather of ability and it is so open and free landscape that the subject am raising should be a serious concern to our policy makers. The inventive mind is very clean and honest. It has to be sharp and firmly grounded in reality. It does not work with a mind that is full of lies knowingly or unknowingly. I can say much beyond this for whoever wants to know beyond this point can. Thank you for reading to this point.

The School of Thinking is a powerful study only if one put inn much determination as with the most important studies in life are so simple with determination you can un-earth the secret within such has been my personal experience over the past nine years of study. Send me your comments and let me help you along your child will be grateful and your husband and wife will respect you and adorns you. I look forward to meeting you. Wishing is an intense special desire for the accomplishment of some good deed. Trust is a settled belief. Hope is a guiding light that shines on the pathway ahead of us. Faith is an implicit confidence in the guidance of Hope. These are all worthy of our constant thought and seeking. They are spiritual. Have a great moment and a nice day. Some day into the future we have to salute our heroes the Thinkers, the Scientists, The Inventors with two jet fighters escort whenever they fly out and fly inn. We have to remove envy, hatred for the PRIME MOVERS they lift us up and can make us respected wherever we go.

My candid agenda is that I look forward some day into the future to see Ghanaians doing great businesses across Africa more than we do today. I wanted to see GCB across every country in Africa if Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had a branch in even London why is it taking us so long to reach out across African. We relax not moving forward because of hatred and envy. Let us move forward.
